    Burnout

    Burnout fabrics are fabrics for clothing that have had some of the fibres dissolved through a chemical process, creating a semi-transparent pattern against more solidly woven fabric. The burnout technique uses chemicals to dissolve cellulose fibers from a textile that is woven from a mixture of fibres.
