Suzhou River - The Rodeo
Written by:Dorothée Hannequin
On the banks
Of the Suzhou River
People is quiet to about in muddy waters
There is a rumor
That a mermaid lived there
The brownish waves
Sweep the dirt and her hair
There is a man who stares at that streams
He lost his loved one
On a tragic dark night
Out of love she threw herself from the bridge
But no one could fish her out of the sea
Will you ever look for me
As he had no wheres looked for her
Through the grayness of the city
The two lovers haunted my mind
Will you ever look for me
Like a dumb dumb fool
The rainy days
For the one and another
The sign up on despite many searches
Her face appears on every woman he sees
Out of love he threw himself from the bridge
In the distance
I can see small fish emboss
Slowly come home with the siren sound
My tears up growing as the water rises
Suzhou River Suzhou River
Will you ever look for me
As he had no wheres looked for her
Through the grayness of the city
The two lovers haunted my mind
Will you ever look for me
Like a dumb dumb fool
