The three little pigs

Once upon a time there were three little pigs

从前有三只小猪

And when they were old enough

他们长大之后

Then mother decided it was time for them

他们的妈妈觉得是时候让他们

To seek adventure in the big wild world

去外面的世界闯一闯了

So

于是

One sunny morning they packed their clothes

在一个晴朗的早上他们收拾行囊

And some sandwiches and off they went

带了些三明治就出发了

One day the three little pigs

一天 三只小猪

Happened upon a lovely woodland clearing

偶然发现了一块美丽的林中空地

And each thought it was a perfect place

大家都觉得这里是盖房子

To build their houses

的绝佳之地

I am going to build my house from straw

于是 老大说

Said the first little pig

我要用稻草来盖我的房子

There's a lot of it and it will take very little time

这里稻草很多 而且不用花太多时间

I am going to build my house from sticks

老二则说

Said the second little pig

我要用树枝盖房子

There are so many of them in this woodland

树林里也有很多树枝

And it will take me no time at all

根本不用花什么时间就能盖好

I am going to build my house from bricks

然而老三说

Said the third little pig

我要用砖头盖房子

It will be strong and sturdy

这样房子才会牢固结实

His brothers laughed

他的哥哥们都笑了

As they knew the bricks would be heavy

因为他们都知道砖头太重了

And his house would take a long time to build

盖起来得花很长时间

Theirs would be finished much sooner

而且都认为他们俩的房子能很快就盖好

And they would be free to play in the sunshine

这样就有时间去阳光下玩耍了

So the three little pigs started to build their houses

于是 三只小猪开始动手盖房子

One day the first little pig was in house of straw

一天 老大正在稻草房里

And outside appeared a big bad wolf

而外面来了一只邪恶的大灰狼

The wolf shouted

大喊道

Little pig little pig let me in

小猪小猪快开门 让我进去

Not by the hair of chinny chin chin

不行 不开不开就不开

He replied

老大答道

Okay

狼说

Said the wolf

好吧

I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down

看我再一口气把你的房子吹倒

So he huffed and he puffed

于是他深吸一口气 用力一吹

And he blew the straw house down

就把稻草房子吹倒了

The little pig was so scared he ran to his brother's house

老大害怕了 于是跑到了老二的房子

He told him about the wolf and they hid under the table

他跟老二说狼来了 于是他们躲到桌子底下

Once again

大灰狼又来了

The wolf shouted

大喊道

Little pigs little pigs let me in

小猪小猪快开门 让我进去

Not by the hair of chinny chin chins

不行 不开不开就不开

Replied the little pigs

他俩答道

Very well

狼说

Said the wolf

好吧

I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down

看我再一口气把你的房子吹倒

So

于是

He huffed and he puffed and he blew the stick house down

他深吸一口气 用力一吹 就把老二的树枝房子吹倒了

They were so scared that they ran to their brother's house

小猪们很害怕接着又跑到了老三的房子

The third little pig and they told him about the big bad wolf

并跟老三说了大灰狼的事

But he wasn't afraid as he knew his house was built

但老三不害怕 因为他知道他的房子

With good strong bricks

是用结实的砖头盖成的 牢固得很

Once again

大灰狼又来了

The big bad wolf shouted

再一次大声喊道

Little pigs

小猪

Little pigs

小猪

Let me in Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin

快开门 让我进去 不行 不开不开就不开

Replied the three little pigs

三只小猪答道

So the big bad wolf said

于是大灰狼说

I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down

看我再一口气把你的房子吹倒

And he huffed and he puffed and he huffed

他深吸一口气 用力一吹

And he puffed and he huffed and he puffed

他再深吸一口气 再用力一吹

But the house was made of good strong bricks

不过房子是用结实的砖头盖的

And would not move

所以房子没什么动静

The three little pigs were very pleased

三只小猪很开心

By now the big bad wolf was very cross

不过这时候大灰狼很生气

Because no matter how hard he tried

因为不管他怎么使劲

He couldn't move the house

房子就是一动不动

He decided to climb onto the roof of the brick house

于是他决定爬到砖头房子的屋顶

And sneak down the chimney

打算从烟囱溜进去

But the little pig was too clever

不过老三非常聪明

And had a big pot of soup bubbling over the fire

在炉火上烧了一锅滚烫的热汤

As the big bad wolf came down the chimney

当大灰狼从烟囱一溜进来时

He caught his bushy tail in the bubbling pot

它那毛茸茸的尾巴就落到汤里

And gave such a scream that

痛得他大哭大叫

It sent him back up the chimney

就爬了回去

And he landed outside with a thud

砰的一声摔在外面

The big bad wolf was so afraid of the three little pigs

大灰狼怕极了三只小猪

That he ran far into the woods

便跑回了树林

And from that day forward he was never seen again

那天以后他就再没出现过

And the three little pigs lived happily ever after

三只小猪从此快乐地生活
