本次四级考试听力短对话难度较往年来说，内容难度有所加大。一、表现为词汇上考得比较生僻，至少是考生平时不太注意的词汇，比如：unbearable, feedback, weight-lifting, recommend, signal, absent-minded, expert, extremely, elderly, overdo等，这些词并不多见于听力内容，而是在词汇综合、阅读以及写作领域运用得较多。二、表现为一些表达的生僻，虽然往年考试中总会有一些类似的表达，但这些内容很难总结，也不存在总结范围，因此对学生来说是心头永远的痛，比如：had two weeks’ worth of weight-lifting in three days, recommend against, no expert, put it off, have my eyes on, black and blue等。

从题目角度而言，却没有太大的重心转移。如第12题：
M: How’s the new job going?
W: Well, I’m learning a lot of new things, but I wish the director would give me some feedback.
Q：What does the woman want to know?
非常简单的考点，就是but的转折考点。考生唯一需要注意的就是后面出现的feedback在答案中以what the customers’ feedback is.作为混淆，文中说的是director的feedback，而不是customer的。明白了这一点，就不难得到答案the director’s opinion。

再如：第13、16题选项都是明显的动词词组特征，考察了建议的考点，从对话中可以找到对应内容：
13、M: Can you help me work out a physical training program John?
W: Sure, but whatever you do, be careful not to overdo it. Last time I had two weeks’ worth of weight-lifting in three days and I hurt myself.
Q: What does the man suggest the woman do?
此句中以祈使句be careful not to overdo it作为建议表达，不过难点在于overdo一词，容易和overdue的发音混淆。而即使考生不混淆，也估计不熟悉该词，虽然往年来说，over的合成词早在90年代初期就出现过，如：
M: Nancy, why were you late?
W: I overslept and missed the bus.
Q: Why was the woman late?

而16题中：
M: I’m no expert, but that noise in your refrigerator doesn’t sound right. Maybe you should have it fixed.
W: You’re right. And I suppose I’ve put it off long enough.
Q: What will the woman probably do?
其中男人最后一句maybe you should have it fixed.以非常明显的should一词，表达了直白的建议，所以总体来说题目考察重点没有发生本质的变化。

最后，再来看看一些技巧性内容，不难发现，听力的人物针对性都很明确：
如：13、16题的动词词组题；12、14题的以疑问词为导向的名词词组题；15、18明显的女人导向；而17题明显的男人导向。

而选项内容中出现了一些挺有意思的选项，比如：
15题选项中出现的：A. the woman knows how to deal with the police.女人知道怎么和警察打交道。——不禁想问，女人和警察到底是该怎么打交道的？B. the woman had been fined many times before. 女人被罚了很多次款。——不知道这样的女人怎么还能被允许上路开车？D. the woman is good at finding excuses.女人擅长找借口。——不禁想问，女人能表达出什么样的借口？
而18题中A. she is black and blue all over.女人身上布满了青一块紫一块。——估计是四级考试以来最可怜的女人了。

从以上内容而言，可以这么总结这次考试的短对话内容：语言变难、考点维持、预读照旧、一些错误选项设计较为明显，所以平均而言，难度尚属学生可接受范围，但对于以听懂全部对话来做题，而不是针对考点突破的学生而言，难度较往年有提高。
