在过去几十年里，随着中国经济繁荣发展，中国人接受了西方的时尚和先进的未来技术，但是越来越多的年轻人开始穿起了传统的汉服。汉服这种历史服饰正迎来复兴（renaissance），这在一定程度上是因为政府致力于推广传统文化。汉服没有统一的定义，因为汉人统治的每个朝代都有自己的风格，但汉服的共同特征是宽松飘逸的披（drape）身长袍和长至膝盖的袖子。
