上海地铁10号线将在四月中旬投入试运营，一年后将实现无人驾驶。这预示这中国开始有能力自主研发地铁无人驾驶技术。
上文中open for trial service就是开始试运营的意思；trial这个词，做名词时可以表示“尝试、试验”，也可以表示“审讯”，例如：
The trials show that smoking will do harm to people.
试验显示抽烟对人体有害。
He was brought to trial on charges of arson.
他以纵火罪被送法院审理。
另外，还能表示“让人头疼的人或事，麻烦，考验”:
His blindness is a great trial to him.
眼睛瞎对他来说是非常麻烦的事。
而做形容词时，trial就可以表示“试验的”的意思啦：
The new aircraft has performed very well in its initial trial flights.
这种新式飞机在最初几次试飞中表现性能良好。
而且，刚进职场的新人，必须经历的“试用期”也是用trial来表示，就是trial period。
